1. About these terms
These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to your use of PULSE by Veyronix ("PULSE"), including the iOS and Android apps and the web app. PULSE is provided by Veyronix Limited ("Veyronix", "we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16821530), registered office 64B Borthwick Road, London E15 1UE, United Kingdom.
By creating an account or using PULSE, you agree to these Terms. Please also read the PULSE Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data.
When you sign up, PULSE records the version of these Terms you accepted and when you accepted it.
2. Private beta
PULSE is "Coming Soon" and is being prepared for a private beta, launching in the United Kingdom first. During the beta, features may change, be incomplete, or be withdrawn, and you may encounter errors. We welcome feedback through the in-app feedback tool. Nothing in this section limits your legal rights as a consumer.
Some features described in these Terms, including the 18+ declaration, Terms acceptance records, in-app notices and account deletion, are being prepared for release and may not yet be available in the version of PULSE you are using.
3. Who can use PULSE
- You must be 18 or over to use PULSE. When you sign up, you must declare that you are 18 or over and accept these Terms. This is a self-declaration; we do not check identity documents.
- If you declare that you are under 18, the new account is deleted straight away.
- You must be able to enter into a binding agreement.
- PULSE is intended to launch in the United Kingdom first. You are responsible for following any local laws that apply to you.
4. Your account
- Give accurate information when you create your account, and keep it up to date.
- Keep your password confidential, and do not share your account.
- You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly at support@veyronix.co.uk if you think your account has been misused. You can sign out of all devices from the app.
- If you sign in with Google, your use of Google sign-in is also subject to Google's terms.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use PULSE for anything unlawful, harmful or fraudulent;
- try to access other users' accounts or data, or areas of PULSE you are not authorised to use;
- interfere with, overload, reverse-engineer or bypass PULSE's security or rate limits, except as allowed by law;
- upload content that is unlawful, offensive, infringes someone else's rights, or contains malware;
- use automated means to scrape or misuse PULSE or its AI features.
6. Fitness and nutrition information
PULSE helps you record and review your food, hydration, activity, workouts and weight. Goals, totals and reports are based on the information you enter and on standard calculations. They are general estimates for information and motivation only, and may not suit your individual needs.
7. AI-assisted calorie estimation
AI estimates can be wrong. The food scan feature uses a third-party AI service to estimate what food is in a photo and its nutritional content. Estimates may be inaccurate or incomplete. They depend on the photo, portion size and recipe, and the AI may misidentify foods or ingredients, including allergens.
Always check results before logging them. Results cannot be edited directly: if a result looks wrong, retake the photo or add the food manually. Do not rely on AI estimates where accuracy matters for your health, for example if you have allergies or intolerances, diabetes, or follow a clinical or prescribed diet.
8. Medical disclaimer
PULSE is designed for general fitness and nutrition tracking. It is not intended to diagnose, treat or prevent any medical condition, and does not provide medical, dietary, nutritional or clinical advice. Confirm any information that matters for your health with a qualified professional. Talk to a doctor or other qualified healthcare professional before starting a new diet or exercise programme, especially if you are pregnant, have a medical condition, an eating disorder, or take medication. Stop exercising and seek medical help if you feel pain, dizziness or shortness of breath. In an emergency, call 999 (UK) or your local emergency number.
9. Your content
You keep ownership of the content you add to PULSE, such as diary entries, food photos you scan, feedback and screenshots. You give Veyronix a permission (licence) to use that content only as needed to provide, support and improve PULSE: for example, to store your diary, and to send a food photo to our AI provider to produce an estimate. PULSE does not permanently store the food photos you scan. You confirm you have the right to upload the content you submit.
This licence covers your content's intellectual property only. How we handle your personal data is explained separately in the Privacy Policy.
10. Intellectual property
PULSE, including its software, design, logos, the "PULSE by Veyronix" name and its content (other than your content), belongs to Veyronix Limited or its licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use PULSE for your own non-commercial purposes in line with these Terms.
11. Availability and changes
We aim to keep PULSE available and working well, but we cannot guarantee it will always be uninterrupted or error-free. We may update, change or suspend features, for example for maintenance, security or legal reasons.
13. Your legal rights
Nothing in these Terms affects your legal rights as a consumer, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 where they apply.
14. Our responsibility to you
We do not exclude or limit our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited by law.
Subject to that, PULSE is currently provided free of charge. We are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, for losses caused by your own reliance on fitness, nutrition or AI estimates in place of professional advice, or for business losses (PULSE is for personal use only).
15. Suspension and ending your use
You can stop using PULSE at any time, and you can sign out of all devices from the app.
You can end this agreement by deleting your account, either in the app (Profile → Account & data → Delete account) or without the app using a one-time code sent to your account email. See the PULSE account deletion page and the Privacy Policy for what is deleted and what may be kept. Questions can be sent to privacy@veyronix.co.uk.
We may suspend your account if you seriously or repeatedly breach these Terms, if we must do so by law, or to protect PULSE, other users or third parties. A suspended account cannot sign in. Where appropriate, we will tell you why.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms, for example when features change or to reflect legal requirements. The version and "Last updated" date at the top show the current version. If you do not agree to the changes, you can stop using PULSE.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts. This does not remove any mandatory consumer protection that applies where you live.
